Toyota has recently welcomed a new member to the North American team. The Japanese automaker famous for quality vehicles like Toyota Tacoma and Toyota Camry welcome Shigeki Terashi as Toyota's North American President (as of April 1, 2012).

Terashi joined the Toyota family in 1980 as a member of the body engineering design department. Terashi's very first project was crafting the successful Camry. Terashi later took over at the Japanese automaker's Technical Center where he oversaw the launch of the Toyota Venza as well as Sienna minivan throughout the country.

The current President of Toyota Motor Sales USA, Jim Lentz, will be promoted to President and Chief Executive. In this new role Lentz will oversee the North American line-up available at dealers nationwide, including Fairfield Toyota in Muncy, PA.

According to Toyota, Lentz is the first American to reach this position.1
