If you know anything about the Toyota Camry, it's probably that the Camry is dependable, practical, a great value, and an excellent addition to any family. And, you'd be right. The Camry has been the best-selling car in the U.S. for the last decade (and counting!). It's also been the best-selling vehicle 14 of the past 15 years. If you saw this year's Super Bowl Ad, you may know that the Camry has been completely re-designed, or "reinvented," as the commercial would say. So, what's new for the 2012 year? Almost every detail, though it's a careful evolution; you won't see any truly shocking changes. Take a look.
2012 Toyota Camry :
- Two improved engine choices: a 268 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine and a 178 horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine- Improved fuel economy, with 35 mpg highway with the 4-cylinder and 30 mpg highway with the V6 engine
- More rear legroom due to repositioned seats
- Enhanced suspension features, including shift paddles on the Camry SE's steering wheel
- A new high-strength steel body lightens the Camry, while providing improved safety for its passengers
The new Toyota Camry will have to keep up its excellent reputation to compete against an ever-expanding mid-sized market, but that shouldn't be a problem with the Camry's new and improved features.
